The summer transfer window thread
The time has come :)

So what do you think has got to be done in the summer regarding ins and outs?

I struggle to take anyone seriously when they suggest Cresswell should stay on another year.

Fullkrug under Moyes would of been a waste of time anyway. Exact same type as Haller

Re: The summer transfer window thread
I read the other day that Steidten wanted Niclas Füllkrug but we didn't buy him because Moyes was holding out for Broja... Imagine having this cunt fucking up our business again

Re: The summer transfer window thread
Geo did a vid with some fella called Frankie, seems a good bloke tbf, but was saying Cresswell should be given another year, then went on to say he wouldn't expect him to play and we should sign another LB, but his loyalty and dedication to the club merits another year and he will be a good bloke to have ''around the club''. The mind boggles.

Looks like we will sign the Corinthians left winger, they are just haggling for a couple of more mil. meant to be mustard, but a big step up of course.

It'll be sad to see Antonio go, as I've always liked him. Maybe one last pay day for him in Saudi and then returns to us as 'grinning coach'.

He's been doing a fair bit of Media training at Salford Quays, so punditry will be his next career.

A couple so far deal… Jacob Greaves, 23 year old CB and Callum O'Hare, 26, AM.

West Ham is a professional football club , not a benevelant home for aging employees.
But for too long we have been too skewed toward the latter .
It’s time to lose the sentimentality and bring down the age profile.
A big thanks to Ogbonna , Fab , Cresswell, Antonio .
Careful with your millions in your retirement
Or best of luck with your next gig to add to your pension pot .

Re: The summer transfer window thread
I see talk of Cresswell staying another year.

Out of all the old guard, feel that he is the one we need to say goodbye too. We need a RB and LB this summer in order to improve. Cresswell has been a great servant and signing for this club but it really is time for getting someone better in that position.

No doubt we are starting to worry about our HG quota which isn’t looking good. Hope we are looking at some options from
The championship as it has served us well in the past.

No issue with Fabianski staying on for another year. He’s been solid and is still a very good number 2.

Re: The summer transfer window thread
Not seen him before but Callum O'Hare only played the last 10 minutes for Coventry last night but was quite effective when he came on... similar style of play (and build) to Grealish. Spent the ten minutes mainly on the left.

Re: The summer transfer window thread
Think it was in a Jacob Steinberg article where he said we were looking at a couple of Championship players
Callum O'hare 26yo (tomorrow!) winger from Coventry available on a free
Jacob Greaves 23yo 6'4 centre half from Hull. We were linked previously, perhaps Bowen can put in a word

Re: The summer transfer window thread
I see little issue with that. It'll be for a high figure.

I have no real issue with Paqueta's either. It pretty much gives an ultimatum if a team wants to buy him with no messing about. It's either that figure, or you don't get him.

David Ornstein is claiming that Kudus does have a release clause in his contract.

Re: The summer transfer window thread
No they signed last season. Because Timothy had just walked in the door and had to go with what they had. And maybe because Moyes still had full say on who stays and who goes.?

Re: The summer transfer window thread
So you reckon they called our bluff last summer when they signed their extensions?

Re: The summer transfer window thread
It good PR for the club.

Club offers a contract. (A very low rate. On their T&C’s.) Players turn them down. And leaves on their terms.

Player turns down contract. Leaves. Finds employment elsewhere. But starts too look like a greedy footballer the moment they start cunting off previous club.

Pick your poison.

Re: The summer transfer window thread
all these older players need to be moved on. casey has more than enough talent to be one of the alternative CBs in the squad. scarles another at LB, we just need that jock minge gone for any chance of it happening

Re: The summer transfer window thread
Once Silva leaves Chelsea Fabianski will become the league's oldest player.

There's still a chance we'll see the Dad's Army Defence line up again next season.

-----------------Fabianski
Coufal - Zouma - Ogbonna - Cresswell
